The Barkside of Winter

Seno K/RLT Conservancy is the perfect host for the annual The Barkside of Winter. This beautiful park and trails take you through upland forest, wetlands, oak savanna remnants, and prairie areas. The 2.5 mile looped course is mostly double-wide trails.

Canicross event starts at 10:00am and you can bring a non-dog running partner with you, they need to sign up as well. But we do not want to split up friends or family members that enjoy running together with a single dog.

Plan on joining us and being a kid again! The snow-covered trails (fingers crossed) will be all you need to remember the fun you had making snow angels, snowpeople (or snowdogs), snow tunnels, and having snowball fights. (But please only start a snowball fight on the trail with willing participants!) You can tromp through the woods on a 2.5 mile loop, up to 4 loops or 10 miles.

AND... just like when you were a kid, we will be waiting for you with a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a warm soup (projected menu) as you enjoy the company of your fellow trail enthusiasts. Please BYO dessert to share! Surprise swag, fun awards, and great company make the ending of your The Barkside of Winter one of the most fun things you can do outdoors in February with your favorite running partner.

These events are perfect for all fitness levels and is dog-friendly for those not interested in the CaniCross Event. For all CaniCross event information, please visit
